2010 Census forms are set to be mailed to homes in mid-March, and

at stake for your community, define the barriers your participants
may face, and identify strategies and messages you can take back
to encourage full participation. RSVP now for one of our free repeat webinars listed below (http://www.mncn.org/event_policy.htm#censuswebinar):

			<title>Children are the age group most undercounted in the Census</title>
			<link>http://www.mnparticipationproject.org/index.php/Blog/Children-are-the-age-group-most-undercounted-in-the-Census.html</link>
			<description>
Children, especially young children, are the most likely to be undercounted in the 2010 Census. Since federal and other funding is distrubuted by using Census data, this means fewer resources for families in those communities. Include a focus on counting children, especially those in hard-to-count tracts in your Census messages. Check out some resources available by the Frontera Asset Building Network on how to count children accurately.

			<title>House votes to move Minnesota primary to August</title>
			<link>http://www.mnparticipationproject.org/index.php/Blog/House-votes-to-move-Minnesota-primary-to-August.html</link>
			<description>The Minnesota House voted to change the primary date (http://www.startribune.com/politics/state/85388587.html?elr=KArks8c7PaP3E77K_3c::D3aDhUoaEaD_ec7PaP3iUiD3aPc:_Yyc:aULPQL7PQLanchO7DiUr) to August 10th. The Senate unanimously passed this measure earlier and may vote to send the bill to Governor Pawlenty as early as next week. Pawlenty has expressed support for the moving of the primary date in order to comply with new federal law and to provide more time for military and overseas voters to get their ballots in on time.
